This 12,000-square-foot residence was built as a summer home on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota as a hub for this traveling family — a unique meeting place to spend their summers together.

The exterior, including the pool, pool house and terraces, are extensions of the living space and needed to be part of the experience, says Admit One’s Kristin Reinitz. “Nearly every room has incredible views with expansive windows with disappearing doors which open the house up, so the backyard terraces and were important aspects. We had to be intentional about where we hid landscape speakers and subwoofers to not take away from the landscape design,” she says.

A Sonance Landscape Audio System with LS47SAT and Mariner 64 speakers provide audio to the areas, while SunBriteTV and Sony displays are part of the distributed video. A Crestron CP4-R processor provides controls for tech that also includes Crestron lighting and shades, DSC security system and 2N gate control. Access Networks custom network and SurgeX UPS address any wireless and power anomalies.
