Creative Concealment Preserves Classic Swedish Country Home Cosmetics

The intersection of design and technology needed to be seamless on this stylish project. High expectations, but certainly not impossible, thanks to the installation ingenuity and curation of home tech products by Admit One Home Systems.

Speakers would be one of the most challenging elements to blend with the home design, given an abundance of elaborate ceiling details, limited wall space, and plentiful audio zones — 13 to be exact. High-end invisible speakers were concealed within the walls of key listening areas and in-ceiling speakers recessed in line with light fixtures. To keep costs under control, standard ceiling speakers adorn the gym, golf simulation room and kids’ entertainment room.

To downplay the appearance of video in five zones, Admit One deployed Samsung Frame TVs, while the locations of 29 Elan keypads were selected carefully to minimize visual impact. Additionally, 15 motorized shades were installed. The team designed and constructed pockets into which the motorized shade cassettes could be completely hidden, further leveraging the classic, refined aesthetics of this country home.
