CEPro 2021 Home of the Year – Design + Tech
Custom-Crafted Project Success
In a home with more windows than walls, home energy management and wall/ceiling aesthetics are of top importance; integration of the lighting, motorized shade, speakers and displays required close collaboration among project participants. Integrator Admit One worked tirelessly with architect Charlie & Co. Design and builder John Kraemer & Sons on aspects like shade pockets that seamlessly integrate into the ceiling, significantly reducing wall clutter by integrating a centralized lighting system and installing video so it seems invisible when not in use.
The ceiling span is one giant skylight with beams running across, making it challenging to create a seamless audio solution into the ceiling aesthetic. The clients wanted custom speakers that could resemble the downlights within the same space. Leon Speakers’ design team assisted the integrator, builder and architect to logistically make all the pieces work together.
