This client had criticized other “high-end” theaters he sat in where he had trouble hearing dialog and felt sound quality was low relative to the scale of the room. With this in mind, Admit Home directed him toward a Wisdom Audio system to take advantage of the line source technology, advanced calibration and performance, incorporating a 7.2.4 system using Arcam AV40 processor.

A Sony laser 4K VPL-VW915ES projector pairs with a 183-inch 2.35:1 Screen Innovations screen with MicroPerf technology to facilitate optimum speaker placement. The client commented on how much he enjoyed the super-wide aspect ratio experience and noticed the night and day difference from a “normal” 16:9 screen that he’d seen in his friends’ theater rooms over the years.

The room has a fiberglass core material covered by stretch fabric system covering the walls and ceilings. The ceiling is covered by a custom stretch Starcoustix starfield. Sheetrock pillars complemented the fabric panels nicely, the integrator notes, balancing the space’s acoustical characteristics. Design called for a barn door, which the integrator worked with the builder to create a custom model that pulled tight.
